The E2673 detects hydrogen (H₂) and VOCs (electrolyte vapours, including DEC and DEMC) to provide early warning of battery thermal runaway and off-gassing, helping to reduce the risks associated with lithium-ion battery failures.
In addition, the detector measures relative humidity and ambient temperature, enabling local control systems to maintain these parameters within acceptable limits and reduce the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD), short circuits, and equipment overheating.
Equipped with an RS485 Modbus RTU communication interface and three relay outputs for alarm and fault signalling, the E2673 offers seamless integration with most fire safety and SCADA systems.
Its compact design allows installation even in space-constrained battery racks used in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and data centres.
