Temperature sensorsto electric motor windings

Temperature sensors of high electric strength and mechanical durability for measuring temperature in electric motor windings, bearings, transmissions

Cable resistance temperature sensors encapsulated in metal housing or in heat-shrink tube. These temperature sensors operate in various temperature ranges from -50 °C to 260 °C (according to temperature sensor type). The most common sensing elements are Pt 100, Pt 1000, Ni 1000, KTY, NTC, PTC.

Temperature sensors are most frequently used for measuring the temperature of electric motor windings (sensors with insulation of shrink tube), measuring the temperature in bearings, measuring the temperature of engine oil, measuring the temperature in transmissions and other. Other applications Snímače teploty do vinutí elektromotorůof these temperature sensors can include temperature measurements in laboratories and in testing facilities, measurements of temperature of solid, liquid and gaseous substances. Temperature sensors have high electric strength up to 12 kV, according to sensor type (electric strength can be even higher if requested).

Temperature sensors comprise the sensing element Pt 100 or Pt 1000, but they can also be fitted with thermistors NTC or PTC, and even KTY. Cables or conductors are connected with the sensing element (various types according to application and customer’s request) and encapsulated in metal housing or heat-shrink tube. Measuring ranges of the sensors vary according to the type of application.

Temperature sensors into electric motor windings - temperature sensors insulated by heat-shrink tube TR 097x type

Cable temperature sensors whose housing comprises a heat-shrink tube. These sensors are distinguished for their high electric strength (5 kV - it can be even higher if requested) and their most common application is measuring the temperature in electric motor windings.

Basic parameters of temperature sensors insulated by heat-shrinking sleeve:

  • Sensing element: Pt 100, Pt 1000, Ni 1000, NTC, PTC, KTY, other as requested

Temperature sensors for measuring temperature in bearings, engine oil, transmissions

Resistance temperature sensors encapsulated in the housing of stainless steel DIN 1.4301. The diameter of the housing is 1.5 mm. Thermal resistance of the sensors is up to 400 °C, depending on the selected type of input cable. IP protection of the sensors can be up to IP 68. The design of the sensors depends on the application and can be with smooth metal case, with threading, contact temperature sensors, temperature sensors with bayonet lock, temperature sensors with connector, right-angle temperature sensors. The temperature sensors utilize the technology ensuring their higher resistance against impacts and vibrations. Stainless protection tube can be used as a protective element of lead-in wires.

The temperature sensors with bayonet lock ensure permanent thrust of the sensor onto the measured place, protecting the sensor against mechanical damage if the object being measured is vibrating. Also, it ensures better reading of temperature.
